ACi South Africa Investigations Forum 2026
ACi’s inaugural South Africa Investigations Forum takes place in Joannesburg on 21st October.
Hosted by HKA and Pinsent Masons, the forum brings together corporate investigators, legal advisers and risk professionals to examine one of the most pressing challenges in the profession: how to protect those who speak up.
The day opens with a keynote from Professor Goss before moving into a series of panel discussions covering enforcement trends across Africa, the handling of non-financial misconduct, and the growing role of artificial intelligence in investigative work, considering both its value as an accelerant for triage and pattern detection and the risks it poses to independent professional judgement.
The afternoon turns to two of the sector’s most consequential issues. A session on protecting the discloser will examine the sobering reality that whistleblowers across Africa face significant risk of retaliation, and will set out what this means in practice for investigators managing safe reporting and investigation systems. A further session on sanctions will explore how complex cross-border supply chains and shifting regulatory regimes can turn routine operational decisions into significant legal exposure, illustrated through a live case scenario.
The day closes with networking drinks, offering delegates the opportunity to continue the conversation informally.
