The ACi runs a number of projects to benefit the corporate investigations community. We currently have two projects underway. The ACi In-House Corporate Investigators Handbook The ACi has embarked on a project to produce a handbook for in-house corporate investigators. The handbook will be written by in-house for in-house and will cover practical advice including the end-to-end process of investigations best practices, management, governance, assessment, scope, and planning through to interviewing and investigation report writing. The ACi is now calling for in-house corporate investigations professionals to contribute as authors for the handbook chapters. Chapters can be written alone or jointly with colleagues. Authors must commit to writing pro bono and the ACi will assert copyright over all published chapters. Authors will be given full recognition for their work in the handbook. Authors must note that the chapters will be reviewed by an ACi editorial board which will comprise in-house corporate investigations professions, internal and external lawyers, and representation from our publishers. The handbook will be published in November 2021 in a hardback book and online. Investigations Innovation Working Group (IIWG) The Investigations Innovation Working Group is a group of ACi in-house corporate investigators and external colleagues working collectively on a number of initiatives to improve undertaking corporate investigations. This includes the use of technology, best practices, and efficiency. Currently, the IIWG is developing a best practice code of conduct for conducting open-source intelligence. Members wishing to learn more about this IIWG project and who may wish to get involved should express interest via Contact Us and a member of the project team will get in touch to explain more.
